July 1st, Avatar: The Last Airbender!
Sure, they changed the title since the ‘other’ Avatar was released sooner. The cartoon series rocked so the movie adaptation BETTER be as good as the originals. Sure, the cast has some issues. I wonder why they couldn’t get a load of kids from the Wushu Academy to play Ang, Sokka, Katara, etc.? Another concern, was who would play Uncle Iroh. I hope Shaun Toub will do the character justice since the original voice for the cartoon character was Mako and he did a superb job at bringing that character to life! May he rest in peace and his legacy in the film industry live on through his movies. Of course, I would’ve loved to have seen Dante Basco cast as Prince Zuko since he was also the voice of the character in the cartoon series…but these are teens in the story. Long live Rufio! 
The great thing about the series, is that the story was very well put together for just being a children’s television show. I really hope that M. Night Shyamalan didn’t lose that quality with all the badass looking effects!
