Planet B-Boy & The Freshest Kids

On June 30, 2010

If you love Hip-Hop, you will LOVE “Planet B-Boy” and “The Freshest Kids: A History of the B-Boy”.

I was only able to find the trailer for Planet B-boy on YouTube but I was lucky to atleast find The Freshest Kids. Hopefully by the time you read this, the links are still playable otherwise, Netflix (where I watched both of these films) has it!  You can watch them on the PC/XBOX/PS3/WII in your instant queue.

To sum up both of these Hip-hop-umentaries…I would say that The Freshest Kids did an excellent job showing the world how things began and Planet B-Boy, how the culture has evolved and where it’s going.  Hip-hop is worldwide!  It may have began in the East…but the movement was strong as it migrated to the West…with a bit of pop-locking here and there….then it spread like an infection across international lines.  The true culture of Hip-hop is often misunderstood.  What’s your take?
