Where does the time go?
Days go by much faster. A bit too fast if you ask me. We had to say goodbye to our Sharpei boy who was 10 yrs old last month. It seemed to have come so suddenly and yet, there was nothing we could have done to prevent it. Renal failure was the diagnosis. If we were to have went further with testing, it probably would have shown up as Amyloidosis. He was a special part of my life and I’ll never forget him. Now we have a new Sharpei who is his nephew. His mom is still alive but retired from breeding. His sister is the mother of our new Pei-by. He reminds us so much of our boy. We are lucky to have him and to give him a home with our other special guy. I absolutely love the Sharpei breed and will always have one by my side.
Onto other news, I’ve joined the Amateur Bowlers Tour with my husband. It’s a fun time for sure and I hope that with time, I’ll learn to adjust to the harsh conditions we’re subjected too! I know what it is that I need to do but seem to forget it all once it’s time to bowl. But, I have steadily improved since bowling only twice in the weekend tournament. All practice though (to me) until we go to the Las Vegas $100,000 tournament at the Fall Nationals. I also will be getting a Storm Marvel from joining ABT. I can’t wait to get it and drill it up. I also have a Brunswick Wicked Siege coming soon as well to compliment my Siege and Evil Siege. My focus though lately has been on my timing and spare shooting. Consistent scores for me have all come down to spares in the end. So for me to hit my goal, I gotta make spares count. One league is over already and I ended up with a 170 average at a house that I previously had a 161 average from the summer league. So not a bad improvement in my opinion. Next season if we bowl there again, I hope that I can improve by 10 pins. With the last two weeks of bowling left in this last league, I will probably finish with a 173 average. I have yet to break 680+ in series but I have two more tries at it so good luck to me!
